Beamlet is an independent utility for managing a Claude Code Remote Control process on your Mac. These terms explain the project’s licensing, scope and support. They do not create an account, subscription or payment obligation.

Open-source license

Beamlet’s source is provided under the MIT License. That license grants broad rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the software, subject to retaining its copyright and permission notice. These terms do not restrict those MIT rights. Third-party dependencies retain their own licenses.

App Store copies

No Mac App Store release is currently available. If Beamlet is subsequently distributed through the Mac App Store without a custom license agreement, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to that store distribution, alongside applicable Apple terms and your statutory rights.

Third-party requirements

Claude Code and Remote Control are provided by Anthropic, not Beamlet. The current implementation requires you to install and configure Claude Code and have an eligible account. Beamlet does not include or sell a Claude subscription, grant rights to Anthropic services or bypass their permissions, consent or usage policies. Availability may change when third-party software or services change.

Your use

Use Beamlet only with computers, files and accounts you are authorized to access. You remain responsible for selecting the workspace, reviewing Claude’s permissions and instructions, and the actions performed through your remote session. Keep credentials and connection links private and maintain suitable backups.

Your Mac must remain powered on and connected to the internet. Beamlet does not guarantee uninterrupted connections, closed-lid operation or successful recovery from every failure.

Warranty and liability

The MIT-licensed software is provided “as is,” without warranties, subject to the MIT License’s warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability. Nothing on this page excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Beamlet is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Anthropic or Apple. References to Claude Code and macOS describe compatibility.
